What We Do
At Autism Doctor, we offer Neuroaffirmative assessment, diagnosis and management advice for a variety of Neurodevelopmental conditions in children, including

Autism
ADHD
Developmental Delay
Dyspraxia
Learning Difficulties

Neuroaffirmative means acknowledging that all individuals have different abilities and how they interact with the world around them. The differences are not considered wrong and need to be “fixed”.
Rather, we believe that Neurodiversity is a natural form of human diversity.

Our autism specialist team can diagnose Autism in girls and children who can be good at masking symptoms.
We can also assess for Emotional Dysregulation often presenting as Demand Avoidance in Autism.

All our assessments are based on recommended standards or national guidelines, such as the National Institute of
Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines.

We follow the Diagnostic Statistical Manual-5 (DSM-5) TR / ICD -11, which is a book on international diagnostic standards
to consider a diagnosis

We offer face to face assessments for assessments

Our services are for children and young people from 0 to 16 years
We accept both self-paying and insurance referrals

Book The Right Assessment
There are different types of assessments offered at Autism Doctor to include a wide variety of childhood Neurodevelopmental conditions.

Each assessment is individualised to suit your child's needs.
Initial Assessment
The initial assessment offers a great start to your child's assessment process. It allows you to explain your child's needs and allows the professional to formulate a clinical opinion and guide you on the best next step(s).

Most parents find this helpful when there is lack of clarity regarding possible diagnoses.
Autism Assessment
We assess for Autism which has been previously described as Asperger's Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Condition and High Functioning Autism using standardised tools.
Each assessment is individualised to the needs of your child.
Most children will be offered an assessment by two or more clinicians.
Our approach is Neuroaffirmative.
